MUSE-ACTIVE ...

… connects schools and museums through hands-on activities and a playful online space where students learn with customizable cartoon avatars.

What is MUSE-ACTIVE?

MUSE-ACTIVE is a three-year Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in school education. It aims to integrate experiential learning and museum education to make learning more engaging, inclusive and meaningful for students.

Objectives

Experiential learning

Develop an innovative pedagogical model that combines experiential learning and museum didactics.

Immersive Routes

Create immersive learning paths that use museum collections and local heritage as educational resources.

Educational Avatars

Design an interactive online learning space with customizable cartoon avatars.

Teacher training

Train teachers to use experiential methods and digital tools in their daily practice.

What Makes Us Different?

Our approach

The MUSE-ACTIVE pedagogical model combines experiential, sensory learning with museum education and digital tools. Students learn by exploring real museum collections, taking part in hands-on activities and continuing the experience online with their own avatars.

Key principles

The model is built on four key principles: - Active and hands-on learning, inside and outside the classroom. - Strong links between school subjects and museum collections. - Inclusive and accessible learning experiences for diverse learners. - Smart use of digital technologies to extend and enrich museum visits.

Competences

MUSE-ACTIVE supports students in developing key competences such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication and digital skills, while increasing their awareness of cultural and natural heritage

Avatar LMS

The MUSE-ACTIVE online space is a playful learning environment where students use customizable cartoon avatars to explore museum-related content. It hosts interactive lessons, educational games, simulations and collaborative projects linked to the project’s modules.
